AMBELIM: Don Bosco Oratory registered a solitary goal win over Cansaulim to move into the final of Lourdes Soccer, at Ambelim ground, on Friday.
In the first minute itself, Daulet Desai’s shot was saved by the Don Bosco goalkeeper.
In the eight minute, the Cansaulim keeper misjudged the flight of the ball but Don Bosco’s Edgar was slow to take advantage of the situation. Edgar again missed an easy chance as his shot was easily collected by the keeper.
Cansaulim’s Frazer laid a through ball which was well controlled by Daulet but his low cross to Bharat was deflected for a corner by Roque. Soon after, Melvin’s shot was saved by Vicky in the Cansaulim goal.
Don Bosco took the lead in the 25th minute through Edgar who slotted the ball into the goal. At half time, Don Bosco led by a goal. Don Bosco missed an easy chance to double their lead when Nicolas Borges fed Joel but he headed out. Daulet could have equalised but his placement went over the crossbar.
Cansaulim went all out for the equaliser but the Don Bosco defence marshalled by Veliton and Roque Borges stood tall.
