Don Bosco Fatorda make semis grade

VASCO: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda earned a hard fought victory over Curtorim Gymkhana, Salcete 7-5 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of the 44th Bandodkar Memorial football tournament, organised by Baina Sports Club at MPT ground, Vasco on Monday.

VASCO: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda earned a hard fought victory over Curtorim Gymkhana, Salcete 7-5 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of the 44th Bandodkar Memorial football tournament, organised by Baina Sports Club at MPT ground, Vasco on Monday. 
Both the teams were locked 2-2 at the regulation time. 
Don Bosco Oratory shot in the lead in the 13th minute in a fine move from Liston Fernandes to Joel Colaco, whose shot got deflected off Curtorim goalkeeper Christo Hilario which opportunistic Joel toed it in to make it 1-0. Two minutes later, Elson Cardozo equalised accepting a long pass from Clive Colaco from mid way (1-1).
After change of ends James Noronha sent on a short pass to Elson Cardozo whose power packed drive slipped from the hands of Don Bosco goalkeeper Terence Barboza to kiss the nets and take Curtorim 2-1 lead. 
Don Bosco exerted pressure and raided the Curtorim defence for the last 6 minutes which paid dividends as Nevile Fernnades shot home to level the score of a pass from cliff Baretto. 
In the tie-breaker, Francis Andrade, Roque Borges, Valito Miranda and Clive Miranda were on target for Don Bosco while Nevile Fernnades,  Clive Colaco and Elson Cardozo scored for Curtorim Gymkhana,
