Don Bosco HS, Tuem top Pernem U-17 boys football

PERNEM: Don Bosco High School, Tuem, Pernem defeated Vidhya Prasarak High School, Morjim 5-3 via the tie-breaker in the U-17 boys football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), at Mandrem ground, on Tuesday. 
There was no score in regulation time as both the teams were evenly balanced throughout the game.
In the second half, Don Bosco had scoring couple of chances but the rival defence did well to push the game into the shootouts.
In the tie-breaker, Nitesh, Soham, Janish, Vishant and Shivam were on target for Tuem lads. 
Earlier, Don Bosco defeated RD Khalap HS, Mandrem 4-2 and trounced Mandrem HS, Mandrem 5-2 in the quarter-finals.
In the semi-finals, they defeated Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Arambol 4-3 via the tie-breaker.
By virtue of this win, the team has now qualified for district level tournament.
