PANJIM: Don Bosco High School, Panjim moved into the final of the Tiswadi zone U-16 Dilip Sardessai Trophy cricket tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association, on Monday.
In the first semi-finals played at Camapl ground, Don Bosco defeated Dr KB Hedgewar High School by 127 runs.
Batting first Don Bosco scored 240 all out in 35.6 overs.
Sagar Vantamuri scored a splendid 132, which were studded with 18 boundaries and five sixes. Suhas Pilarnkar (31), and Harsh Jethaji (17) were the other contributors.
For Hedgewar Achutch Hegde picked four wickets giving away 44 runs.
Saitej Amonkar (2), Atharva Bapat, Gaurang Tari and Sakharam Thakur were the other wicket takers.
In reply, Hedgewar were all out for 113 in 31.1 overs.
Saitej Amonkar (31), Sachin Pandey (15) and Sakharam Thakur (11) contributed to teh total. Sagar Vantamuri and Vishwa Gajinkar picked three wickets a piece while Harsh Jethaji claimed 2.
