RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, moved into the quarter-finals scoring a solitary goal win over Chandor Club in the 1st Antonio Rebelo memorial football tournament organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
Don Bosco Oratory had their first chance when Elroy Barreto’s shot went wide. Chandor Club Mario Fernandes’ shot was well saved by Karol Soares in the first half. Crossing over, both teams tried to score but in vain. Don Bosco Oratory netted the first goal through Rishabh Karapurkar in 42 minute to make it 1-0. Chandor Club tried their best but Don Bosco Oratory’s defenders defended the citadel well till the final whistle.

Rishabh Karapurkar of Don Bosco Oratory was awarded the man-of-the-match and Sevraj D’Costa of Chandor Club was honoured with best defender of the match by Mario Fernandes, former treasurer of Curtorim Gymkhana.
