RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated Guirdolim Sports Club 5-4 via tie-breaker to enter into the semi-finals of the 12th Our Lady of Fatima Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Dicarpale Sports Club, at Dicarpale ground, on Friday.
Both the teams were tied at 1-1 in the full session. Valentino Carvalho gave an early lead to Guirdolim SC in the 7th minute of the match which was later cancelled by Hanslum Furtado for Don Bosco Oratory in the 14th minute. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Francis Andrade, Hanslum Furtado, Cayren Araujo and Presly Pinto shot on the target for Don Bosco Oratory while Mario Fernandes, Akram Yadwad and Moises D’Sa netted for Guirdolim SC. Roque Furtado of Don Bosco Oratory was adjudged as man-of-the-match award by Roque Furtado, sports secretary of Dicarpale SC.
