CURTORIM: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda got the better of Parish Youth Nuvem 5-4 via tie-breaker to enter final of the Curtorim Villagers Cup inter-village football tournament, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana and played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday.
Don Bosco’s Rahul Fernandes had two early chances to give his side a deserving lead but both his effort were wasted as he shot wide. At the other end, Nuvem’s Jerose Oliverira’s long range strike hit the rival cross bar and went out of the play. There was no much action in the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda netted through Roque Borges, Velito Miranda, Cliff Barretto, Edgar Noronha and Carol Soares. For Parish Youth Nuvem Sanford Colaco, Merrston Coutinho, Clyson Pereira and Agnelo Colaco were on target.
