RAIA: Dramapur SC defeated Sao Jose de Areal SC 5-2 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of 50th Custodio memorial inter-village football tournament at Raia ground, Saturday.
Dramapur took the lead through Nash Fernandes in the 10th minute. Later, Marcus Masrenhas and Mohammad Mansoori of Areal and Nigel Fernandes and Ryan Fernandes of Dramapur missed easy scoring chances. Areal equalized through Piedade Rebello in the 29th minute. Dramapur regained the lead though Nigel Fernandes.
In the last minute, Bersal Viegas’ header gave no chance to Dramapur goalkeeper to take the match in the shoot-out.
In the tie-breaker, Chadel Fernandes, Leslie Costa and Piedade Rebello were on target for Dramapur. Areal failed to convert their three kicks.
