RAIA: Dramapur SC outplayed Cuncolim Union 5-4 via-tie breaker to march into the quarter-finals of the Mandopa Cup inter-village football tournament played at Mandopa ground, Navelim, on Monday.
Cuncolim Union scored the first goal of the match in 8th minute through Wilson Fernandes’ power-packed shot.
Cuncolim further extended their lead in 29th minute through Rosario Carvalho.
In second half, Dramapur SC scored two quick goals through Piedade Rebello and Nigel Fernandes in the 44 and 55 minutes respectively.
At the end of regulation time, Dramapur SC and Cuncolim Union settled for a 2-2 draw.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Dramapur SC scored through Nash Fernandes, Piedade Rebello and Nigel Fernandes while for Cuncolim Union Wilson Fernandes and Jollyton Fernandes netted.
