PANJIM: The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs (DYSA) invited application sfrom eligible sportspersons through the respective State Level Sports Associations, duly recognized by the Sports Authority of Goa for conferring the “Dilip Sardesai Sports Excellence Award” for the year 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.
This special sports award is instituted by the Government of Goa as a tribute to the legandary Cricketer of Goan origin Dilip Sardesai. The award comprises of a bronze plaque, a citation and a purse of Rs. 2 lakhs and will be awarded to the highest achiever amongst Goan sportspersons representing India at any recognized International senior level sports competition during the year 2016-2017 & 2017 -2018 in Senior age category only.
The application forms may be collected from the DSYA office at Campal, Panjim. The completed forms in all respects enclosing copies of certificate of sports achievements, countersigned by the competent authority should be submitted on or before July 30.
