MAPUSA: Dylan Fernandes scored a marvelous four goals as
Despite having several players missing due to the ongoing exams, Goa United managed to put up a splendid display.
Dylan opened the scoring early on after playing a wall pass with Akash Munshi and striking a strong left footer into the goal.
Moments later, Dylan received a long ball from the defence and dribbled past the goalkeeper to double the lead. Mario Thinock guided the ball into the goal with his head after a stiff cross from the left from Macann Pereira for the third.
Changing over, Goa United attacked with even more intensity. Macann belted the ball into the top corner of the net from 30 yards out and from a similar position managed to repeat the goal shortly after.
Akash left his marker for dust as he turned and fired low for the sixth. Dylan completed his hat-trick as he managed to bring the ball under control with his chest and slotted in after Macann swept in a brisk corner. Within minutes Dylan crashed in his fourth with a neat placement.
Joy scored for the second game in succession as he used his pace to get between two defenders and finished with the ball hugging the back of the net.
Vincy Fernandes completed the demolition with a strong right footed drive from 25 yards out. Great saves from the Vailankani goalkeeper prevented the score from swelling even further.
