Herald: How crucial was the first goal?
Joffre: It was important because it came early. We knew that we could come here and score some goals so getting an early goal really helped to build up confidence.
Herald: Roberto Carlos mentioned that Delhi lost out in the first semi-final because they couldn’t convert their chances. Do you agree with that?
Joffre: Yes! Yes I do. We were a bit lucky in Delhi. They had numerous chances in Delhi and didn’t convert. We were lucky today. We created chances and we took them well.
Herald: How difficult was it coming into this match on the back of a loss in Delhi?
Joffre: It was very difficult. But we know that if we win today, we have a big chance to be champions. If at the beginning of the tournament you had told us that we would make it here and win like this, we would have taken it.
Herald: There is a chance that you may play your old team in the finals. What would it be like to play your old team?
Joffre: Today I’m going to say, I don’t mind whom we play in the final. Today is a day for us to celebrate and we are going to do just that. We’re looking forward to the next step but for today, we’ll celebrate.
