NAGOA: St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim registered a fluent 3-0 win over Kendriya Vidayala (1) in the OORJA-CAPF’s U-19 Football Talent Hunt tournament in boys category, played at Nagoa ground, on Thursday.
St Alex dominated both the halves with Joy Hilario tormenting the rival defence. Despite Curtorim dictating terms in the opening minutes of the match, the striker missed two sitters.
St Alex finally broke the deadlock in the 36th minute through Adiar Estebeiro.
Joy Hilario scored a brace for St Alex in the 45th and 54th minute.
In another match, Dempo SC defeated St Xavier’s Mapusa 2-0.
Nikhil Gurung and Stewart De Mello scored a goal each for Dempo in the 4th and 50th minute respectively.
In another match, Rosary Navelim HSS defeated Fr Agnel, Pilar1-0.
Jude Fernandes scored the match-winner in the 45th minute.
At Nagoa ground, Salgaocar FC defeated Kendra Vidalaya 15-0.
Claide Fernandes scored five goals while Chaitan Komarpant netted four. Rollwin Almeida scored a brace and Shawn Pereira, Levy Pereira, Josbern Fernandes and Abhyudey Sabarwal scored a goal each.
In the girls section St.Xaviers, Mapusa defeated Kendra Vidayala 20-0
While Flaviana Rodrigues scored five goals, Sushmita Jhadav netted four. Cynthia Lobo, Abygale Almeida, Arpita Pednekar and Cynthia lobo scored a goal each for the winners.
