“The alleged incident was not on the ‘Field of Play’. It was an incident that was between two players in a closed room. The issue was reportedly settled between both the players. Vested interests raked up the issue instigated the players to make allegations and counter allegations. In the interest of proper justice, it was decided that both the players should be kept out so as not to have any bearing of the alleged incident on the team that was going for the Santosh final round”, informed Gomes.
He questioned and rebuked the act of Lavinio for holding a meeting of a few members separately. He further urged Goans to send blessings and good wishes to the team in their quest for the coveted title.
