PANJIM: Senior Journalist Sharad Rama Naik, of UNI news agency, and former president of Sports Journalists Association of Goa (SJAG) breathed his last at GMC Hospital, Bambolim, on Monday. He was 69.
Sharad worked for the news agency UNI for several years in Goa. He was a founder member of SJAG and had the distinction of heading it for many years. He is survived by his wife and two children. He was cremated at Malim crematorium on Tuesday.
The SJAG condoled his death, which occurred after a brief illness.
