FATORDA: Football enthusiasts were left in blue outside the Stadium as strict gate entry prohibited many locals (without tickets) from making it to the venue.
Children and others were seen waiting outside the entry gate in hope of being allowed inside to watch the match at the break, but to their dismay their luck failed.
“It’s strict inside and we can’t allow anyone inside the stadium. During Indian Super League we could allow during the half-time. But for this FIFA event the LOC is quite strict and we couldn’t let anyone inside,” said an official.
Despite tickets being available at the counters, children and youth were expecting to be allowed inside the stadium without the gate pass.
“We thought they would allow us but they (Organisers) are very strict,” said Ridge Mascarenhas, who wondered outside the gates in hope of getting a opportunity to watch the Germans take on Costa Rica.
The FIFA organisers were spot on as they managed everything professionally.
