RAIA: Fatorda Veterans edged past Varca Veterans 7-6 via tie-breaker to lift the 4th all-Goa Veterans Football Cup organised by Batora United Curtorim in the final played at DYSA ground, Curtorim.
Both teams were tied 2-2 at full time. Mario Rebello and Francisco Andrade scored for Fatorda Veterans, while Jose Fernandes and Luis Fernandes scored for Varca Veterans. In the resultant tie-breaker, Fatorda Veterans proved to be better shooters.
Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco was the chief guest. Former Zilla Panchayat member Veena Lourenco, Fr Manuel, Fr Milagres Dias, Sr Jacquelina and other dignitaries and club officials were present for the final.
