RAIA: Fatorda Veteran’s will clash with Varca Veterans in the finals of 4th all-Goa Veterans Football tournament, organised by Batora United as they defeated Joe Cookie’s Veterans, Lotoulim, by 2-1 margin in the second semifinal played at DYSA ground, Curtorim on Wednesday
Fatorda Veterans started the match with fast pace and quickly took control of the game and drew first goal from the left footer by Francisco Andrade in the 7th minutes. Joe Cookie’s Robin Pinheiro levelled the score in the 23rd minutes with a fine placement while Joerose Oliver missed to take lead for Lotoulim before half time.
As match progressed in second session, the all important goal came from the boots of Francisco Fernandes in 50th minutes to seal the fate of Joe cookie’s Veterans.
Francisco Andrade of Fatorda Veterans was awarded man-of-the-match at the hands of Joaquim Fernandes president of Batora United.
