RAIA: Fatorda Veterans emerged victorious in the Pogo Boys 6.0 All-Goa 50+ Veterans final defeating Calangute Veterans 5-4 in a nail-biting tie-breaker after a 0-0 draw at the end of regulation time at Merces church ground, on Tuesday.
The match was intensely competitive, with both teams launching several attacks but failing to convert any into goals.
The goalkeepers on both sides delivered exceptional performances, keeping the match scoreless through full time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Fatorda Veterans proved to be the better shooters.
Chief guest Sebestiao Fernandes gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Selwin D’Souza, other dignitaries and club officials.
