RUMDAMOL: Fatorda Veterans defeated Danvodem Veterans 2-1to lift the 1st Rehan Muzawar Cup organised by Sporting Club De Rumdamol at Rumdamol football ground on Sunday.
Vincent Barboso of Fatorda Veterans was the hero of the final with his shooting power and guidance and well knitted combinations to the players and a couple of assists too.
Fatorda Veterans netted through Vincent and Pascol Fernandes in the14th and 35th minutes respectively while Vishant Pednekar pulled a goal back for Danvodem Veterans in the 44th minute.
Vishant Pednekar of Danvodem Veterans was awarded player of the tournament. Best Discipline team was awarded to Danvodem Veterans.
Chief guest for the final Rehan Muzawar from Navelim gave away the prizes to the winners and runner’s up in the presence of president of the club Ravi Luhera, vice president Manohar Sangaonkar, Rumdamol panchayat panch members and other dignitaries.
