Both teams dominated the first half with Serineo Fernandes and Latesh D Mandrekar making moves upfront for FC Bardez while Vineet Budge and Sweden Fernandes put up a stellar performance for Dempo SC.
In the second minute itself Dempo SC had the first go through Sweden Fernandes who collected the ball from Vineet Budge and slammed his left footer from the edge of the FC Bardez box but the goalkeeper, Santosh Pujar of FC Bardez saved it.
Later, Ronil Azavedo of Bardez rolled the ball to Sereino Fernandes but squandered a goal scoring opportunity in the 16th minute.
Thereafter, Vineet Budge collected a short pass ball from Shubert Pereira and dribbled past Cavin Soares and Anil Chavan of Bardez and made a goal bound strike only to be denied by the post.
Latesh Mandrekar of FC Bardez should have found the ball at the back of Dempo SC net in the 34th minute but his strike ballooned over the cross piece of Dempo.
In the 34th minute FC Bardez’ Cavin Soares connected the ball to Ronil Azavedo but he failed to connect to the ball inside the Dempo SC box.
Crossing over, both teams were back in action to score goals but missed chances.
Substitute Manjunath Rathod of FC Bardez failed to score in the 86th minute while Vineet Budge of Dempo to missed a chance in the 87th minute.
