PANJIM: FC Goa continued their impressive run in the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) National Group Stage with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kerala Blasters in the Bengaluru Group at Bangalore FootballStadium on Saturday.
After a goalless first half, it was Brison Fernandes who broke the
in the 49th minute with a clinical finish. FC Goa then held on to their
lead, thanks to some resolute defending, and secured their second straight win which takes them to the top of the table with six points from two matches. The side led by coach Deggie Cardozo are now unbeaten in 12 games overall in the RFDL, including the Goa qualifiers where they won eight and drew two.
FC Goa will now face LiFFA Trivandrum on Tuesday.
