PANJIM: FC Goa scored a fluent 2-0 win over Youth Club of Manora in the Goa Football Association U-20 Taca Goa League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Tuesday.
It was an end to end battle in the opening half which saw both team play attacking football but hardly create any chances in the game.
YC Manora, who managed to hold Youth Club of Manora for nearly more than an hour finally failed to stop them scoring as Mallikjan Kalegar broke the deadlock in the 68th minute for the Gaurs.
Manora did try to get back into the game but the frontline couldn’t get past the FC Goa defence.
Once up by a goal, they were high in confidence and created chances and successfully managed to double the account in the 88th minute through Salgeo Dias.
