MAPUSA: FC Goa continued on their winning streak as they registered a 2-1 win over Bidesh XI in the GFA’s Second Division league held at Guirim grounds here on Tuesday.
Cain Fernandes struck a goal in each session of play.
In the 37th minute Cain scored from a counter attack while he netted his brace in the 55th minute connecting the ball into the goal off a cross from Brandon, 2-0.
Bidesh tried to come back into the match with Krish Naroji scoring from inside the 18-yard box 2-1.
In another match, PVC Parra scrape past Goan Warriors FC played at Parra ground.
Parra colts struck a goal in each session of play through Cyprian Rodrigues (38th minute) and Anantha Krishna (93rd minute), while Anthony Fernandes scored for Goan Warriors.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, Deao SC defeated UC Telaulim, 4-1, to register win. Joshua Dias, Alizon Colaco, Piason Dias and Milfort Peixote scored a goal each for Deao SC while Aulon Gomes was the scorer for UC Telaulim.
In an another match played at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, St Anthony’s SC of Assolda defeated OL of Gloria SC of Raia by 3-0 goals. Cajitan Fernandes netted a brace while Jaison Dias netted the other goal for Assolda.
