PANJIM: FC Mardol down St Mathew’s SC Azzosim in a thrilling 3-2 win the Goa Football Association Third Division League match played at Taleigao ground, on Tuesday.
The half time score read 1-1 as both sides Tushar Gaude netted an own goal to cancel his teammate FC Mardol’s Clatus Gudinho’s 13th minute goal.
Crossing over, St Mathew had to wait until the 70th minute to take the lead through Daniel Pereira. But they couldn’t hold on to the lead for long as Sunil Kumar made it all square within four minutes.
St Mathew’s Jesmon Afonso received marching orders in the 80th minute for his double booking.
Being a man down, St Mathew struggled on the pitch and Sunil Kumar showed his attacking prowess netting his double to give his side a thrilling 3-2 win.
