MAPUSA: Football Club of Siolim had to wait for the penalty shoot-out where they finally got the better of Anjuna Gymkhana by 5-4 margin to enter the quarters of the 13th Reira Trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by Saligao Sporting Club, at Saligao Sporting Club ground, on Friday.
In a well contested encounter, the match was mostly restricted to midfield which finally ended in a goalless draw.
In the resultant penalty shoot-out for the winners Sangam Pednekar, Claudio Rodrigues, Kashiram Pomburphekar, Sahil Pomburkar and Joel Fernandes scored on target, while for the losers Rohan Kamble, Dinesh Morajkar, Soma Korgaonkar and Akshay Dabholkar scored.
