PANJIM: Goa will play host to the 13th Federation Cup National Softball Championship for men and women from May 1 to 3 at SAG ground, Campal, here. Dharma Chodankar, President, Goa Softball Association and vice-president, Softball Association of India, addressing a press conference, stated that top eight teams from the country will participate alongwith the hosts, Goa.
The teams (men): Maharashtra, MP, Chhattisgarh, AP, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Goa. Women – Maharashtra, AP, Haryana, Delhi, Telangana, Kerala, Punjab and Goa.
The championship will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant at 3.30 pm on May 1.
The valedictory function and the prize distribution will be held at 10 am on May 3.
