PANJIM: FC Goa’s Leo Moura put up an impressive show in his debut match against Delhi Dynamos FC on Sunday which the home team won 2-0. With two more home matches on the trot for FC Goa, the Brazilian midfielder feels the love from the fans and the connection to his home land. The former Flamengo captain is confident of a victory against defending champions Atletico de Kolkata, on Wednesday. He is famous being one of the few players who represented all four of the big Rio de Janeiro teams, Botafogo, Vasco, Fluminense, and Flamengo. On his experience of playing in the Indian Super League for the first time, Moura says, “It impressed me a lot. Andre Santos (FC Goa Marquee player last season) shared a lot of his experience with me and it helped. The time we came on the pitch felt like playing in Brazil. I felt like home.” On playing alongside Indian players Moura felt that each and every player is an integral part of the team. “They (Indian players) are very important players. If they were not important than they would have not been playing for FC Goa. They give a lot of confidence to me and all the players help to reach our aim,” said Moura, who played a decade for Flamengo from 2005-15.
