KOLKATA: The FC Goa defender Raju Gaikwad expressed his disappointment after the humble defeat against Atlético de Kolkata. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
From a 7-0 victory to a 0-4 loss, it must be really very disappointing…
RG: Yes, quite disappointing. We were at the top and wanted a win. Nonetheless, we played hard but didn’t get those three points.
What do you think went wrong tonight?
RG: We conceded in the first half and that brought pressure upon us. I guess that [the scoreline] says it.
Do you think FC Goa can bring about a turnaround in the next game at Fatorda?
RG: Surely. We have to focus on the next game [on Wednesday vs NorthEast United FC].
