CORJEM-CURTORIM: Fondegal Sports Club got the better of Piddadigal Sports Club 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Corjem Youth Club inter-ward soccer, organised by Corjem Youth Club and played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Tuesday.
Piddadigal’s Alister Fernandes should have netted in the 8th minute but Fondegal keeper Pratik Damaskar was equal to the task.
Later in the 32nd minute, Aleeward Mascarenhas netted the match-winner for Fondegal with a power-packed shot.
Fondegal Sports Club will meet the winners of Unjirim Sports Club and Virabhat Sports Club in the quarter-finals.
