VIRABHAT-CURTORIM: Fondegal shot-out Paldem 5-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 5th Jose and Franky Memorial inter-ward football tournament, organised by Sporting Club of Virabhat (Curtorim), at St Alex church ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
In the tie-breaker, Fondegal scored through Melvin Mascarenhas, Mario Mascarenhas, Caitan Mascarenhas, Joshly Mascarenhas and Alliward Mascarenhas while Paldem scored through Mayur, Jovin, Cedrick and Alex Fernandes.Paldem’s Diago Dias received the emerging player-of-the-match award.
