Football tourney at Nachinola

PANJIM, AUG 6
Aldona United will meet Atlectic de Parra in the inaugural match of 7-a-side football tournament for late Felicia Fernandes Trophy  7-a-side football at Nachinola on Sunday.
 In all, 16 teams are taking part in the tournament – Bom Jesus Nachinola, A.A de Moira, Penha de Franca, Mix Friends Divar, Parish Youth Nuvem, Maina Coutorim, Carmel Boys Macasana, St Cajetan Boys Merces, Bardez Veterans, Sodiem Cultural, Arrady Boys Goa Velha, Sao Minguel Taleigao, Mahesh 7 Sangolda and Cana Benaulim.
The winners will be richer by Rs 20,000 while the runners-up will get Rs 15,000 besides other prizes for best goalkeeper, best disciplined team, most promising player.
Urban Development Minister, Joaquim Alemao, GFA president and AIFF vice-president will be the chief guest. Vijai Sardesai,  GPPC general secretary will be the guest of honour, according to the organisers.
