PANJIM: Don Bosco High School, Panjim and Fr Agnel HIgh School Pilar moved ahead in the U-14 Goa Cricket Association President’s Cup cricket tournament (Tiswadi), held at Campal ground, on Wednesday.
In the first match, Fr Agnel defeated Our Lady of Merces by eight wickets.
Batting first Our Lady of Merces were all out for 49 runs.
Ankit Singh 5/14 and Jesus Travaso 4/10 picked wickets for Fr Agnel High School, Pilar.
In reply Fr Agnel, Pilar reached the required score in just 5.1 overs.
In another match, Don Bosco defeated Rosary High School, Miramar by 10 wickets.
Batting first Rosary High School, Miramar scored 100 all out in 27.3 oevrs.
Shubh Solanki (21), Deepam Shetye (16) and Aman Bagali (15) scored for Rosary, Miramar.
Nandresh Kankonkar (4/27) Anus Bhikoji (2/19) picked wickets for Don Bosco, Panjim.
Chasing a small total, Don Bosco Panjim achieved the target in 14.3 overs.
Sarvesh Talgeri (50 not out) and Harshad Vaingankar (29 not out) remained unbeaten.
