PANJIM: Fr Agnel College, Pilar and Government College, Quepem (GCQ) entered the semi-finals of the Goa University Football Championship for Men, beating their opponents in their respective encounters, at Goa University ground, Taleigao plateau, on Wednesday.
In the first quarter-final, Fr Agnel College thrashed Don Bosco College of Engineering 6-0.
Yogendera Thapa, Nester Dias, Sairaj Chodankar, Chandan Gawas, Suraj Hadkonkar and Atish Madkaikar scored for Pilar.
In the second quarter-final, GCQ defeated SS Dempo College, Altonho 3-1. Vinod Kumar, Rinjoy Fernandes and Leander D’Cunha scored for Quepem while Devendra Murgaonkar pulled one back for Dempo College, Altinho.
