RAIA: Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna, pipped Marina English High School, Verna 1-0 in the finals to emerge champions in the 8th Sr Bernadine Mattos memorial all-Goa U-17 boys 7-a-side inter-school football tournament played at Perpetual Succour Convent High School ground, Navelim, recently.
Elrich D’Silva netted the match winner.
Velim Constituency MLA and Past Perpetualite Cruz Silva was the chief guest and Sr Liberata Fernandes, SFN, headmistress of Perpetual Succour Convent High School was the guest of honour. Altogether, 16 schools participated.
Stacey, Remmy Rebello and Samson Andrade were the commentators while Venoshka Fernandes, joint secretary of the Past Perpetualites Association proposed a vote of thanks.
