FATORDA: Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School Verna blanked Infant Jesus High School, Colva 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Cup played at the Astro turf ground, Fatorda, onTuesday.
Infant Jesus had the first chance early in the game when Malik Torgal should have found the ball at the back of Fr Agnel nets but the latter’s shot was easily saved by the rival keeper.
Fr Agnel went all out and soon took the lead through Deryl Silva in the tenth before before Alloid Colaco doubled the account in the sixteenth minute.
As the match progressed, Fr Agnel netted the third through Dhomacin D’Mello.
In another match, Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim defeated Fr Basilio Andrade Higher Secondary School, Majorda 2-0.
Leo Rebello netted a brace for Rosary Higher Secondary School.
