Fr Agnel, Rosary, SS Dempo, Carmel, RSN College of Arts and Science score win

PANJIM: Fr Agnel College, Pilar registered a comfortable, 4-0, win over Dhempe College in the inter-collegiate football women championship, played at Goa University ground, Taleigao. 

Fr Agnel College showed their full dominance and scored all four goals in the first half itself in which two goals were scored by Sonia Lucas and one each by Latisha Menezes and Monika Vishwas. In the second half, both the teams strengthened their defence and no more goals were scored in the match.

In the second match of the day, Rosary College, Navelim defeated Kare College of Law,

Margao, 5-0. In the first half, Rosary College scored three goals, which were scored by Aniela Barretto, Darlene Fernandes and Clency Miranda. In the second half, Rosary College continued their offensive play and scored another two goals which came from Lillian Fernandes and Josel Mascarenhas.

At Rosary College ground, Navelim, PES’s RSN College of Arts and Science, Farmagudi defeated Goa College of Home Science, Panjim, 10-0. In the first half itself, PES’s RSN College started their full domination by scoring six goals of which four goals were scored by Syloney Fernandes and one each by Vidhya Gaude and Rutvika Bandodkar. In the second half, continuing their domination, PES’s RSN College put in another four goals, were in Vidhya Gaude scored another three goals and one more from Syloney Fernandes.

In the second match of the day, SS Dempo College, Cujira defeated Shree Damodar College, Margao, 2-1. In the first half, a goal in the 18th minute of the match by Anushka

Shirodkar put Dempo College in the lead. Coming back stronger Damodar College equalised in the 32nd minute through Numa Subba. Later in the 35th minute, a goal from Donea Fernandes took Dempo College on lead 2-1 at the end of half time. 

In the second half, another goal from Donea Fernandes sealed the victory for Dempo College, 3-1.

In the third match of the day, Carmel College, Nuvem had an easy win over MES College with a full-time score of 7-0. Goal scorers for Carmel College in the first were two from Vanish Vaz, and one each by Muriel Gonsalves and Zenia Fernandes. In the second half, continuing the goal-scoring, Carmel College put in another three goals which were scored by Vanish Vaz who registered her hatrick of goals in the 36th minute and the other two by Navya Patil and Sheba Das.
