RAIA: Fr Agnelo Youth Club, Paroda, downed Betalbatim Sports Club 2-0 to enter quarter-finals of the 15th Davorlim Cup organised by SC Davorlim, at Davorlim panchayat ground, on Friday.
Both teams played an attacking soccer and tried to take lead. Melvin of Fr Agnelo YC who shot in the hands of Betalbatim SC goalkeeper in the 15th minute, while Dixon Rogtanv of Betalbatim SC failed to connect the ball to tap in the goal in the 34th minute. Both teams remained 0-0 at the half time.
In the second half, Frazer and Ronald missed the scoring opportunities. Taking advantage, Regan Costa of Fr Agnelo YC scored two quick goals in 50th and 60th minute respectively, to take the team into quarter-finals. Roseferns Miranda presented the man-of-the-match award to Regan Costa of Fr Agnelo YC.
