RAIA: Frank Fernandes, former footballer was re-elected unopposed for second consecutive two-year term as president of Navelim Sporting Club.
Santosh Rama Naik and Constancio Paulo Rodrigues elected unopposed as General Secretary and Treasurer respectively in the annual general body meeting held at Francisco Luis Gomes hall, Navelim.
The following members were elected unopposed: Vice President – Shubert Furtado and Gabriel Fernandes, Assistant Secretary – Joel Rodrigues, Assistant Treasurer – Simon Fernandes, Sports Secretary Alluizio Fernandes, Assistant Sports Secretary Seby Themudo and Ronnie Fernandes, Cultural Secretary – Luis D’Silva, Assistant Cultural Secretary Custadio Pires, Executive Committee Members – Ashok Shivolkar, Edwin Cardozo (Cipru), Diago Diniz, Edwin Cardozo, Santan Gomes and Johny Fernandes; Auditors – Remedios Rodrigues and Fredy Pires.
The Executive Committee decided to organise the prestigious Gold/Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament from September 15, at Rosary ground, Navelim.
