PANJIM: Friends Circle, Porvorim emerged victorious over Rashtroli Boys, Anjuna in the final of the 1st All Goa 5-a-side football tournament organized by Green Circle Football Club, Alto-Betim in association with VFF Concepts at Betim Sports and Cultural Club ground, recently.
A total of 32 teams participated in the day long event.
The winning team received Rs 10,000 and a trophy from chief guest and ZP member, Gupesh Naik. The runners-up received Rs 6,000 and trophy.
Sidharth Pillai was adjudged Player of the Tournament and First goal of the final.
Swapnil Chodankar, Dy sarpanch of Penha de Franca panchayat; Dipali Vernekar, ex-sarpanch and current panch member; social worker Gurunath Vernekar and Mauvin Carvalho of Green Circle were also present.
