PANJIM: Gaunem Cricketers and Nityanand Sports Club moved into the quarter-finals of the 6th Babu Brothers All Goa Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by Babu Brothers Sports Association, at SAG practice ground, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
In the first match, Gaunem Strikers thrashed Fatorda Forward by huge margin of 101 runs while in the second match Nityanand Sports Club defeated Canacona Kings by 10 runs.
Brief scores: Gaunem Strikers, 167 for 6 in 20 overs. Siddhesh Naik 54 not out, Salil Agarkar 39, Vidyadhar Kamat 18, Siddhesh Arora 21, Ninad Pawaskar 17 runs. Vaibhav Chowgule 3/36, Nitish Salekar, Raj Raikar and Raje Jagdale claim one wicket each.
