MARGAO: Goan origin Gaurav Dukle and Sarfaraz Sayyad won the Off Road Carnival event in the diesel category, organized by Pune Pathfinders at the Ganga retreat club road in Wagholi, recently.
Kapil Bhobhe and Mitali Bhobhe were awarded second runners-up at the event. The four Goans performed exceptionally well in the event which included 56 hardcore off roaders from allover India.
Speaking to Herald, Gaurav Dukle said that, “I got a first hand experience and practice of off roading at the DOT offloading track at Kumeri Sanguem and owe the victory to Manjunath Dukle who has propagated off roading in Goa.”
Gaurav Dukle has been practicing very hard at the DOT off roading track at Kumeri, Sanguem and has also been a host for two of the largest events of off roading ever hosted in Goa.
DOT offloading have expressed immense happiness that four of their products have reigned the race and won a title for Goa and DOT too.
The winners have been awarded with trophy and lots of off road essential goodies. DOT plans to enter as a team at the event next time round.
