PANJIM: After a successful pre-season in Spain, FC Goa returned to Goa and had their first training session at Bambolim Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, on Monday.
FC Goa played five friendly matches in Spain wherein they clashed against Spanish clubs and recorded three wins in their one month camp.
They defeated Deportiva Minera 3-0, CD Algar Deportivo 3-1 and FC Caragena B 4-2. Earlier they lost against FC Cartagena 1-4 and Real Murica CF 1-2.
The players were put through light training exercises by strength and conditioning coach Manuel Sayabera and assistant coach Derrick Pereira.
The team also played a practice game before they concluded the session.
Head coach Sergio Lobera will be joining the squad on November 1 .
