PANJIM: The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) and Margao Cricket Club (MCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to bolster the growth of cricket by allotting a dedicated ground and setting up of an academy for all-round cricket activities and establishing a long-term partnership between the two organizations.
The GCA has agreed to allocate a state-of-the-art cricket ground to MCC. The ground will serve as a hub for various activities including competitive matches, training sessions and talent development programs. The agreement solidifies a commitment to nurturing young talent and elevating the overall standard of cricket in Goa. The ground has been allotted by MCC to GCA for 10 years.
The MOU provides for a collaboration in establishment and operation of a cricket academy so as to provide aspiring cricketers with unparalleled training opportunities, expert coaching, and exposure to high-level competitions for 20 years.
Rohan Dessai, GCA secretary and Yogesh Naik, MCC president expressed confidence about creating a vibrant cricketing culture that will inspire generations to come.
