Eight times world champion, Geet Sethi, who suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of another world champion and Asian Games double gold medalist, Ashok Shandilya, in the morning session later consolidated his position in the league table registering three successive wins against Rupesh Shah, B Bhaskar and Sourav Kothari in the 2nd Billiards Selection Tournament for Asian Games at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Mira Mar on Thursday.
Alok Kumar, ranked 7th, posted a commendable win against seven-times world champion Pankaj Advani 3-2 with the help of two century breaks in the first and third games in a best of five hundred points up format.
At the end of the day, the championship remains wide open as none of the players went home with an all-win record.
