PANJIM: The Goa Football Association (GFA) condoled the death of Babli Govekar president of Sai Avtar SC of Anjuna.
He died on Monday and the funeral rites held on Tuesday.
GFA President Churchill Alemao in a condolence message highlighted the good work done by Babli for football development and fielding the team in the Third Division.
GFA vice-president Lavinio Rebello who hails from Anjuna pointed out that Babli was committed to football promotion and made lot of sacrifices to that effect.
