PANJIM: The Goa Football Association condole the sad demise of State former deputy chief minister Adv Francisco D’Souza. Francis has contributed a lot towards Goan football over the years as a minister and MLA of Mapusa constituency.
GFA Vice President North Lavinio Rebello said, “Adv Francis was instrumental in getting the floodlights to the Duler Stadium, Mapusa and has always supported GFA whenever called on. He also with the help of Mapusa Muncipal Council installed a generator for the floodlights.”
President Churchill Alemao while conveying his heartfelt sympathies said, “Goa will miss a genuine sports lover, whose contribution towards the Beautiful Game wouldn’t be able to write off.”
Vice President South Anthony Pango and former general secretary and ex-co member Welvin Menezes also expressed their sympathies to the leader and bereaved family.
