MARGAO:  Goa Football Association conducted a workshop on the new player Central Registration System (CRS), at Dempo House, Panjim.
Representatives from the four Goan I-League clubs, namely Sporting Clube de Goa, Dempo Sports Club, Churchill Brothers Sports Club and Salgaocar Football Club were present, along with the Goa Pro League and GFA First Division clubs.
GFA’s Youth Development Officer Adley Costa gave a detail presentation on the new CRS database system which has been proposed by the All India Football Federation.
The club representatives were given time to test out the CRS database system and the useful feedback from the participants was noted.
The Central Registration System is a newly introduced database, which keeps track of all player registrations/transfers in India. All professional as well as amateur players will have to be registered with the scheme and will be given a unique identity number.
In his vote of thanks, Adley thanked the clubs for their co-operation.
“Thank you all for the wonderful support and co-operation and for coming along for this workshop. We hope we can count on your continued support to ensure Goa remains as a model state for Indian football,” concluded Adley.
