PANJIM: The Goa Football Association has ruled in favour of Chandor Sports club. The club had lodged a protest against Raia Sporting Club following a match played on July 24 this year.
They alleged the player Daniel Gomes was an ISL player and I-league player having played for East Bengal SC and Kenkre FC in the I-league.
They contended the player had not completed the cooling period as per the rules.
They also claimed the card issued to Preston Regois was fraudulently issued by the State football governing body under the influence of an interested GFA Executive Committee member.
While issuing this card, the all important voting card of Preston Regois was not taken on record, instead his driving licence was taken. Chandor SC contended that producing the voting card with the new place of residence mentioned was a mandatory criteria.
