PANJIM: The Goa Football Selection has further shortlisted the 68-member squad to 35 names following their first trials held earlier at Fatorda, recently.
The following players have been shortlisted for the final selection of the Senior National Championship for Santosh Trophy to be held in January 2017.
Goalkeepers: Agnelo Gomes (SSC Cavelossim), Melroy Fernandes (Calangute Association) and Albino Gomes (Mumbai City FC).
Defenders: Joseph Clemente (Sporting Clube ), Ponif Vaz (Sporting Clube ), George D’Souza (Sporting Clube), Jessel Carneiro, Rowilson Rodrigues (FC Bardez), Jovel Martins (Salgaocar FC), Leny Pereira (Salgaocar FC), Fulgencio Cardozo (FC Goa) and Melvin Lobo (Calangute).
Midfielders: Quan Gomes (Sporting Clube de Goa), Cajetan Ferandes (Sporting Clube, Ganesh Thakur (Sporting Clube), Seriton Fernandes (Sporting Clube), Gilbert Oliveira (Salgaocar FC), Brian Mascarenhas (Salgaocar FC), Romeo Fernandes (FC Goa), Richard Costa (FC Bardez), Peter Carvalho (FC Bardez), Alesh Sawant (FC Bardez), Nicholas Fernandes (Churchill Bros SC), Leander D’Cunha U-20 (Churchill Bros), Daryl Costa U-20 (Churchill Bros) and Assumption Soares U-20 (Dempo SC).

The players should report to coach Mateus D’Costa and Norbert Gonsalves at Artificial Turf, Fatorda on December 19 at 3.30 p.m.
